Determine Your Future

What are you thinking right now? πŸ€”

Good or positive thoughts?πŸ’¬
I’m going knock off things from my to do list!
I’m going to finish getting the decorations done tonight.
I am brave enough to go after my dreams.
I am going to lose those last 10 lbs.

Bad or negative thoughts? πŸ’¬
I never have time to get anything done.
No one ever listens to me.
I never have any self control so why bother trying to lose those last 10 lbs.
My dreams will never come true… they will eventually fade and I’ll just have to get over it.

It’s time to #choosejoy. It’s time to take control of you…your thoughts and your actions. You were fearfully and wonderfully made! It is intended for you to live life abundantly! The choice is yours. Do something! πŸ’ͺπŸ’―πŸ˜

Determine to Succeed

Does life always go exactly as you plan? No!

Why, because you and other humans are involved. You only have control of yourself! And then sometimes, we just make bad choices, we waste our own time, or we listen to others that should have no influence over our life.πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

However, we can make the choice the pick ourselves back up and keep going. We can do something, anything big or small, to help us continue towards our goal. We can stay determined to succeed! πŸ’ͺ

But it starts with you. Your choice! πŸ’―

Last 90 Days Check In

Last90Days check in!

October 1st, I started the challenge inspired by Rachel Hollis where you intentionally live the last 90 days of the year as intentionally as you would the first 30 days if the new year. Along with a gratitude and dreams journal, we track our 5 to Thrive; 5 daily activities which includes dining more water, moving your body for 30 minutes daily, and giving up one food that does not bless your body.

Richard and I have given up carbs for the 90 days and are following the keto diet. This has been an easy diet to add to our premium nutrition that we get daily from our 3 simple steps. I’m excited to say that in the last 60 days, I’ve lost 24.8 lbs! πŸ’ͺ

While I don’t always complete all 5 items each day, I have been able to stick with my diet every day even through Thanksgiving! One more month of holiday celebrations, and I’m happy to have a strong habit built going into December. 😍

The Stories

My grandmothers were both good storytellers. Whether it was Granny talking about running the telephone switchboard at Tyler Pipe or Mema talking about switching out the computer key cards at IBM, they always captured my attention. I remember one holiday meal, Granny told a story that took up the whole meal, and still finished her meal at the same time we finished….now that’s an art!πŸ˜‰

These stories were captivating. They were full of details and humor. They were full of history.❀

As I get older, I want to have good stories full of passion for helping others, full of love and family memories, and full of living life. Those are the decisions I’m determined to make. 😍

Little Joys

I love finding the little joys in life. This morning, I was able to order my groceries online instead of spending 1.5 hours at the grocery store. When I went back to add items to the order, not once but twice, no one was frustrated with me over my forgetfulness. πŸ€£πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Sometimes we have it all together, and other times, we are just trying our hardest to figure it all out, but finding joy in the journey is the key. Oh, and not having to worry about money for groceries, there is joy in that tooβ€¦β€πŸ˜πŸ’―

Last 90 Days

I’ve participated in the Last 90 Days Challenge this month, which is ongoing until the end of the year. It has introduced 5 good habits into my daily routine. One includes drinking half your weight in ounces of water each day, and another includes giving up a food that does not bless your body. πŸ€—

The water goal is a hard one for me to hit daily, but I am drinking way more than I normally did, and the benefits are there. Some people in the challenge are giving up a food for 30 days and then changing to a different food the following month. Richard and I decided to use this time to give up most carbs and follow the Keto diet during the entire 90 days. 🀯

I have NOT cheated AT ALL during October! I’m down 14.4 lbs for the month. I feel good, and I’m happy that my 3 simple steps help me further reach my goals! In November I’ll even get to add a new amino acid formula to my steps to help build lean muscles! I feel good, and I’m ready to live my best life! πŸ’ͺ

What about you? Are you growing? Are you living the life you deserve? If your answer in No, then message me so we can talk about options. It’s time to live life out loud! 😍

Moving Forward

Do you know when it is time to change? πŸ€”

For six years I did business process improvement. During this time, I would evaluate a position’s duties and work with the person or department to help make the task more efficient. It was important to work hand in hand with the employee so the changes would be accepted when the time came.

When I sat with someone, I would ask them, What do you do? WHY do you do it that way? I made sure they knew there was no right or wrong answer, that I was just learning the process. However, if they didn’t know WHY they did a certain task process, or if the answer was, That’s the way we’ve always done it, then the process was open for negotiations later. Why negotiations? Because without their buy-in and acceptance of the change, then it would never change. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

It’s time to evaluate HOW you are doing things in your daily life. WHY do you do it that way? HOW is it working for you? WHAT could be changed? Can you ACCEPT the Change?πŸ’β€Ό

Change is hard, but Change is good. Personal growth comes from change. Strength and Knowledge grows with change. Freedom and Flexibility can come from change. Don’t be afraid, it’s time to make the change! πŸ’ͺ⏰😍

What a Legacy!

This weekend my family had the privilege to go back to our former church in Baytown to celebrate their 100th anniversary! 100 years of serving the people of Baytown and surrounding communities. 100 years preaching the gospel to the lost. 100 years of discipling the growth of members. 100 years of families serving each other during a time of need. 100 years of developing pastors and missionaries to serve around the world. 100 years of baptisms, weddings, and baby dedications. Hats off to the past! πŸ’―πŸŽ‰

How does a church survive the span of time in an era where so many are dying?! While looking at the history, we read that church leaders were not afraid to be bold and change as needed, while keeping the goal and focus the same – leading the lost to salvation. The church location moved several times in the last 100 years as growth of the community occurred. The current location has also been expanded several times to allow for church growth and needs. The church also continues to serve the community and focus on missions. They continue to work to expand His kingdom. Coats off to the future!πŸ’―πŸŽ‰πŸ’ͺ

This church played a real and valuable role in my family’s life. We were married there, and our boys were dedicated there. They also stepped up in a big way to take care of my boys while I was sick and in the hospital for 7 weeks. They were the tangible hands of God during our time of need. We love that we are a part of this amazing legacy! Congratulations Trinity!
β€πŸ’―πŸ˜

In my business life, I can take page from this history book. Don’t be afraid to change. Don’t be afraid to move. Serve others! God will use you when you put in the work! πŸ’―πŸ’ͺ

Evaluate Your Goals

Have you evaluated your goals to make sure they are your goals? πŸ€”

I’m not talking about your dreams, but the actual goals to achieve in order to make your dreams come true. Are they yours? Or do they belong to your boss, your team leader, your director, your spouse, your friend, etc? Is the goal something you just think you should be going after because that is what is expected of you? Has your goal changed, but you are afraid to make the change?πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Use these last few months of the year to evaluate your goals, the direction God wants you to go, and make the necessary changes if needed. Change is hard, but change is good. If your goals haven’t changed, then chase after them hard with discipline and belief! πŸ’ͺ

There are options available to you to help you achieve YOUR goals… some may be in an unfamiliar package, but it is worth checking out! Message me if you want to hear more about these options! 😍

No Distractions

What is distracting you today from achieving your goals? πŸ€”

Sometimes, I feel like my biggest distraction is laziness. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ But is it really laziness or procrastination due to fear? Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, or just fear of rejection?

Another distraction from me is busy work, that while necessary, it’s not income producing activity. πŸ™„

Last week I discussed scheduling my priorities. So on my list if daily activities, I must schedule my IPA items first, and then I can do the other stuff last if there is time left. I’m in charge of goals to achieve my dreams, but I must remember to stay focused on my calling! 😍
