Determine Your Future

What are you thinking right now? πŸ€”

Good or positive thoughts?πŸ’¬
I’m going knock off things from my to do list!
I’m going to finish getting the decorations done tonight.
I am brave enough to go after my dreams.
I am going to lose those last 10 lbs.

Bad or negative thoughts? πŸ’¬
I never have time to get anything done.
No one ever listens to me.
I never have any self control so why bother trying to lose those last 10 lbs.
My dreams will never come true… they will eventually fade and I’ll just have to get over it.

It’s time to #choosejoy. It’s time to take control of you…your thoughts and your actions. You were fearfully and wonderfully made! It is intended for you to live life abundantly! The choice is yours. Do something! πŸ’ͺπŸ’―πŸ˜

Last 90 Days Check In

Last90Days check in!

October 1st, I started the challenge inspired by Rachel Hollis where you intentionally live the last 90 days of the year as intentionally as you would the first 30 days if the new year. Along with a gratitude and dreams journal, we track our 5 to Thrive; 5 daily activities which includes dining more water, moving your body for 30 minutes daily, and giving up one food that does not bless your body.

Richard and I have given up carbs for the 90 days and are following the keto diet. This has been an easy diet to add to our premium nutrition that we get daily from our 3 simple steps. I’m excited to say that in the last 60 days, I’ve lost 24.8 lbs! πŸ’ͺ

While I don’t always complete all 5 items each day, I have been able to stick with my diet every day even through Thanksgiving! One more month of holiday celebrations, and I’m happy to have a strong habit built going into December. 😍

Last 90 Days

I’ve participated in the Last 90 Days Challenge this month, which is ongoing until the end of the year. It has introduced 5 good habits into my daily routine. One includes drinking half your weight in ounces of water each day, and another includes giving up a food that does not bless your body. πŸ€—

The water goal is a hard one for me to hit daily, but I am drinking way more than I normally did, and the benefits are there. Some people in the challenge are giving up a food for 30 days and then changing to a different food the following month. Richard and I decided to use this time to give up most carbs and follow the Keto diet during the entire 90 days. 🀯

I have NOT cheated AT ALL during October! I’m down 14.4 lbs for the month. I feel good, and I’m happy that my 3 simple steps help me further reach my goals! In November I’ll even get to add a new amino acid formula to my steps to help build lean muscles! I feel good, and I’m ready to live my best life! πŸ’ͺ

What about you? Are you growing? Are you living the life you deserve? If your answer in No, then message me so we can talk about options. It’s time to live life out loud! 😍

Moving Forward

Do you know when it is time to change? πŸ€”

For six years I did business process improvement. During this time, I would evaluate a position’s duties and work with the person or department to help make the task more efficient. It was important to work hand in hand with the employee so the changes would be accepted when the time came.

When I sat with someone, I would ask them, What do you do? WHY do you do it that way? I made sure they knew there was no right or wrong answer, that I was just learning the process. However, if they didn’t know WHY they did a certain task process, or if the answer was, That’s the way we’ve always done it, then the process was open for negotiations later. Why negotiations? Because without their buy-in and acceptance of the change, then it would never change. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

It’s time to evaluate HOW you are doing things in your daily life. WHY do you do it that way? HOW is it working for you? WHAT could be changed? Can you ACCEPT the Change?πŸ’β€Ό

Change is hard, but Change is good. Personal growth comes from change. Strength and Knowledge grows with change. Freedom and Flexibility can come from change. Don’t be afraid, it’s time to make the change! πŸ’ͺ⏰😍

Evaluate Your Goals

Have you evaluated your goals to make sure they are your goals? πŸ€”

I’m not talking about your dreams, but the actual goals to achieve in order to make your dreams come true. Are they yours? Or do they belong to your boss, your team leader, your director, your spouse, your friend, etc? Is the goal something you just think you should be going after because that is what is expected of you? Has your goal changed, but you are afraid to make the change?πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Use these last few months of the year to evaluate your goals, the direction God wants you to go, and make the necessary changes if needed. Change is hard, but change is good. If your goals haven’t changed, then chase after them hard with discipline and belief! πŸ’ͺ

There are options available to you to help you achieve YOUR goals… some may be in an unfamiliar package, but it is worth checking out! Message me if you want to hear more about these options! 😍

No Distractions

What is distracting you today from achieving your goals? πŸ€”

Sometimes, I feel like my biggest distraction is laziness. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ But is it really laziness or procrastination due to fear? Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, or just fear of rejection?

Another distraction from me is busy work, that while necessary, it’s not income producing activity. πŸ™„

Last week I discussed scheduling my priorities. So on my list if daily activities, I must schedule my IPA items first, and then I can do the other stuff last if there is time left. I’m in charge of goals to achieve my dreams, but I must remember to stay focused on my calling! 😍

Schedule your Priorities

It’s Friday!πŸŽ‰

Let’s look back at our week and everything we got done or hoped to get done. What did you accomplish? Not much? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

I can relate! It’s something I’m working hard on improving! I want to be more intentional with my time so that I actually get the things done that are a real priority to me.

I know that I work best with a deadline, but that usually only applies when I’m accountable to someone else. When I have an order to fill or a request for help from church, I have no problem getting these things done on a timely basis. However, if it’s a priority for myself, my personal business, or my home, these things usually get pushed to the side because there is no urgency in completing them…even though its important to me.πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

It’s time to take back my schedule. On Sundays I will create a plan of action for the week. I will put on the calendar all of my family priorities such as games or meetings, and then I will start intentionally adding my personal priorities to the schedule. Let’s see what I can actually accomplish by next week when I evaluate how things went. The list of accomplishment has to be longer than this week was. 🀣

Good for Great

Think of all the good things in life…you know, your likes… Think of the shows you like to watch on TV. The money you like to spend. The sweets you like to bake.πŸ€”

Now, what if you exchanged those for something great? What if you gave up something you liked in order to have something you love? It may take time. It may take effort. It may take work, but don’t you think in the end it would be totally worth it? What can you sacrifice now to have something great? ❀

Mom Moments

In those moments when I look around the room and see the evidence of what teenagers can leave behind- nerf darts, socks on the stairs, trash that was in front of them all morning but still didn’t make it outside to the cans, throw blankets bundled on the couch, laundry left in the dryer, and cereal box left on the table….I remember to be thankful. πŸ€—

I’m thankful that they each do their own laundry, and I don’t have to touch stinky athletic clothes. I’m thankful that in the hustle of the morning routine, they get their own breakfast and make their own lunch, and the mess left behind is evidence of the personal responsibility they are learning. πŸ’ͺ

The nerf darts are examples that they still like to play, and even though they are teenagers now, they do not always sequester themselves in their rooms all the time. The blankets on the couch is there as a reminder of the family movie night from last night, and I’m thankful they still like spending time with the family. 😍

Yes, it’s easy to be overwhelmed by the clutter and mess, but it’s evidence of so much more – love and lessons! And isn’t that what family is all about?! πŸ˜‰

Overthinking

Hang on. Let me overthink this…πŸ’

Why do we get caught in this trap of indecision?! We think about the possibilities, we think about the positives, then we think about the negatives. We dwell on each item like it’s a checklist in our mind. πŸ™„

What if we just stop and pray? Ask God to provide the answer we are seeking….and then make the decision! We must have faith that God is big enough to provide for the good decisions and a way out of the bad decisions. After all, He walks with us each step of the way! πŸ™

Most importantly, we must work on developing ourselves! Study the Bible and learn what God has to say. Read books to grow your capabilities! And then you can learn to lean on your intuition! ❀
