Focus

Is your mind racing around with little focus? ๐Ÿฟ #squirrel

Or do you have a plan, it’s written down and put in a place for you to focus? ๐ŸŽฏ

Habbakuk 2:2 says,
“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”

God tells us to write our goals down, to focus on the them, and then to run! So focus on your goals, and then put in the work! Your focus determines your reality! ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ’ช

Persistence

My word for 2020 is Persistence. Finding this word was hard for me this year, but after praying about it, the definition sealed it for me.

Persistence – firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.

This is what I will focus on this year! It’s a word that I will apply to all aspects of my lifeโ€ฆspiritual, financial, business development, relationshipsโ€ฆ

I AM PERSISTENT.๐ŸŽ‰

Last 90 Days

I’ve participated in the Last 90 Days Challenge this month, which is ongoing until the end of the year. It has introduced 5 good habits into my daily routine. One includes drinking half your weight in ounces of water each day, and another includes giving up a food that does not bless your body. ๐Ÿค—

The water goal is a hard one for me to hit daily, but I am drinking way more than I normally did, and the benefits are there. Some people in the challenge are giving up a food for 30 days and then changing to a different food the following month. Richard and I decided to use this time to give up most carbs and follow the Keto diet during the entire 90 days. ๐Ÿคฏ

I have NOT cheated AT ALL during October! I’m down 14.4 lbs for the month. I feel good, and I’m happy that my 3 simple steps help me further reach my goals! In November I’ll even get to add a new amino acid formula to my steps to help build lean muscles! I feel good, and I’m ready to live my best life! ๐Ÿ’ช

What about you? Are you growing? Are you living the life you deserve? If your answer in No, then message me so we can talk about options. It’s time to live life out loud! ๐Ÿ˜

Moving Forward

Do you know when it is time to change? ๐Ÿค”

For six years I did business process improvement. During this time, I would evaluate a position’s duties and work with the person or department to help make the task more efficient. It was important to work hand in hand with the employee so the changes would be accepted when the time came.

When I sat with someone, I would ask them, What do you do? WHY do you do it that way? I made sure they knew there was no right or wrong answer, that I was just learning the process. However, if they didn’t know WHY they did a certain task process, or if the answer was, That’s the way we’ve always done it, then the process was open for negotiations later. Why negotiations? Because without their buy-in and acceptance of the change, then it would never change. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

It’s time to evaluate HOW you are doing things in your daily life. WHY do you do it that way? HOW is it working for you? WHAT could be changed? Can you ACCEPT the Change?๐Ÿ’ญโ€ผ

Change is hard, but Change is good. Personal growth comes from change. Strength and Knowledge grows with change. Freedom and Flexibility can come from change. Don’t be afraid, it’s time to make the change! ๐Ÿ’ชโฐ๐Ÿ˜

What a Legacy!

This weekend my family had the privilege to go back to our former church in Baytown to celebrate their 100th anniversary! 100 years of serving the people of Baytown and surrounding communities. 100 years preaching the gospel to the lost. 100 years of discipling the growth of members. 100 years of families serving each other during a time of need. 100 years of developing pastors and missionaries to serve around the world. 100 years of baptisms, weddings, and baby dedications. Hats off to the past! ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐ŸŽ‰

How does a church survive the span of time in an era where so many are dying?! While looking at the history, we read that church leaders were not afraid to be bold and change as needed, while keeping the goal and focus the same – leading the lost to salvation. The church location moved several times in the last 100 years as growth of the community occurred. The current location has also been expanded several times to allow for church growth and needs. The church also continues to serve the community and focus on missions. They continue to work to expand His kingdom. Coats off to the future!๐Ÿ’ฏ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’ช

This church played a real and valuable role in my family’s life. We were married there, and our boys were dedicated there. They also stepped up in a big way to take care of my boys while I was sick and in the hospital for 7 weeks. They were the tangible hands of God during our time of need. We love that we are a part of this amazing legacy! Congratulations Trinity!
โค๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ˜

In my business life, I can take page from this history book. Don’t be afraid to change. Don’t be afraid to move. Serve others! God will use you when you put in the work! ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ช

Evaluate Your Goals

Have you evaluated your goals to make sure they are your goals? ๐Ÿค”

I’m not talking about your dreams, but the actual goals to achieve in order to make your dreams come true. Are they yours? Or do they belong to your boss, your team leader, your director, your spouse, your friend, etc? Is the goal something you just think you should be going after because that is what is expected of you? Has your goal changed, but you are afraid to make the change?๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

Use these last few months of the year to evaluate your goals, the direction God wants you to go, and make the necessary changes if needed. Change is hard, but change is good. If your goals haven’t changed, then chase after them hard with discipline and belief! ๐Ÿ’ช

There are options available to you to help you achieve YOUR goalsโ€ฆ some may be in an unfamiliar package, but it is worth checking out! Message me if you want to hear more about these options! ๐Ÿ˜

Schedule your Priorities

It’s Friday!๐ŸŽ‰

Let’s look back at our week and everything we got done or hoped to get done. What did you accomplish? Not much? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

I can relate! It’s something I’m working hard on improving! I want to be more intentional with my time so that I actually get the things done that are a real priority to me.

I know that I work best with a deadline, but that usually only applies when I’m accountable to someone else. When I have an order to fill or a request for help from church, I have no problem getting these things done on a timely basis. However, if it’s a priority for myself, my personal business, or my home, these things usually get pushed to the side because there is no urgency in completing themโ€ฆeven though its important to me.๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

It’s time to take back my schedule. On Sundays I will create a plan of action for the week. I will put on the calendar all of my family priorities such as games or meetings, and then I will start intentionally adding my personal priorities to the schedule. Let’s see what I can actually accomplish by next week when I evaluate how things went. The list of accomplishment has to be longer than this week was. ๐Ÿคฃ

Process

Get happy with the fact that youโ€™re in process.

You may not be the most creative, the most patient, the strongest personality, the most aggressiveโ€ฆ

But what matters is youโ€™re closer to your goals than you were yesterday.

God says I will take you from faith to faith, Glory to Glory ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

Marry the PROCESS! Accept when God calls the not-quite-there-yet pieces of you to your forefront, and get to work on your knees!
